Sangtraan, Theanh96 to Appear at Offline Regional Finals of National Student Open Cup 2023 – Esports Event with Scale of Up to 1000 People

Countless exciting events and activities will take place during the upcoming offline event (October 15) of National Student Open Cup 2023. Which outstanding names will represent the South-Central region to advance to the National Finals?

On September 26, OEG held a press meeting to announce the launch of the National Student Open Cup (NSOC) 2023 esports tournament. This will become OEG’s annual tournament aimed at creating a professional, healthy esports playground for the Vietnamese student community, while also spreading the positive meanings of esports to society.


Previously, the tournament officially opened for registration on August 20, 2023, and began competition from September 30 to October 28, 2023. After undergoing online qualifying rounds, the top 8 teams from each discipline will enter the regional finals, and only the top 2 representatives from each discipline in each region will be allowed to compete in the National Finals. Notably, the Northern Finals and National Finals will be held at OEG Esports Stadium – a modern, professional esports entertainment complex that meets international competition standards. OEG Esports Stadium is expected to officially open at the end of October 2023.

Highly Anticipated Regional Finals Event

It is known that the National Student Open Cup 2023 esports tournament will feature two competitions: League of Legends and Valorant. This is one of the pioneering tournaments bringing the esports movement to students nationwide. NSOC 2023 gathers nearly 1500 players from over 120 universities and colleges to compete.

In the South-Central region, after a series of thrilling matches with intense competitions from the qualifiers, the best representatives have officially emerged. These are the candidates for the South-Central region championship of NSOC 2023 who will compete in the regional finals on October 15.


It is not an exaggeration to say that NSOC 2023 is one of the largest esports tournament systems ever for students. Even the regional finals will be held offline in a grand scale. Kicking off will be the South-Central Finals held offline at Banking University (52b Hoang Dieu 2 Street, Linh Trung Ward, Thu Duc, Ho Chi Minh City) with a capacity of up to 1000 people.

This is not only an opportunity for students to witness thrilling esports matches but also a place to socialize, meet, and cheer for the intense competitions. Bringing the passionate atmosphere, the essence of youth to esports, is the aspiration that the NSOC 2023 organizers aim for. This is also a cradle for discovering and training esports players for professional tournaments in the future. Nurturing talent and developing Vietnamese esports, there is no better place than among students.

What will the audience experience at the South-Central NSOC 2023 Finals?

Many exciting activities alongside high-level matches will be present at the grand offline event of the South-Central Finals. The event is organized in the hall of Banking University (Ho Chi Minh City) with a capacity of up to 1000 people.


By joining the offline event, the audience will be able to:

  • Participate in many games and activities at the event to collect exclusive offline gifts from sponsors: Metal Slug, League of Legends, Valorant, Momo, The Alley, NSOC,… (including T-shirts, socks, badges, wristbands, water bottles, power banks, headsets, mousepads, keyboards, game codes, milk tea vouchers, Momo vouchers,… ).

  • Meet and check-in with famous KOLs: Sangtraan, Theanh96.
  • Enjoy special artistic performances: Cosplay Catwalk, dance,…
  • Compete directly for a prize of 6,000,000 VND for the most enthusiastic cheering club Offline.
