On November 1, 2022, Samsung Vina Electronics officially launched the Student Gaming Festival, running from November 4, 2022, to November 26, 2022, for students who love Esports. During this program, young participants will interact with top gamers like Louis and Huy Ga, and also have the chance to become teammates fighting alongside members of One Shot Killer (the champion team of Awesome Academy) to win exciting prizes.

Elevating Vietnamese Esports

In recent years, despite impressive development in Vietnam, Esports is still often associated with negative perceptions to a certain extent. Therefore, Samsung Awesome Academy – one of the first professional gamer training platforms in Vietnam, was established in June 2022 to recognize, accompany, and support the efforts of the youth community passionate about esports.

With the motto “Grind for Awesomeness – Hard Work Turns into Achievement”, after 5 rounds with 9 competing teams, Awesome Academy has made a significant impact with over 6.2 million followers and more than 20 million reach on social media. Awesome Academy not only provides useful “tools” for participating teams but also inspires young people who are passionate and have a professional development direction in Esports.

Igniting the Passion for Young Gamers with the “Student Gaming Festival”

In this comeback, Samsung Galaxy A continues the mission of the Awesome Academy program, accompanying the Vietnamese Esports community with a fresh and more direct approach through the journey of the Student Gaming Festival. The program aims to help young people fully unleash their potential in a professional competition environment while experiencing the best products from Samsung Galaxy A, promising thrilling, intense, and surprising matches.

Not stopping at online interaction, the Student Gaming Festival is an incredibly valuable playground for students through a series of inspiring interaction, recruitment, and real competitions at universities.

The Student Gaming Festival will consist of two competition phases: the qualifying round and the finals. With 3 weeks of searching and selecting members from November 4 to November 25, 2022, corresponding to 4 qualifying rounds at 4 universities (Can Tho University, Thu Duc University Village, Vietnam Maritime University, and University of Commerce), the best candidates will be recruited into 4 teams led by One Shot Killer members and enter the finals on November 26, 2022, to find the champion.

Additionally, at each competition stage at the universities, Samsung Galaxy A will bring many other exciting activities for students like instant photo taking, quiz games with prizes, fun interactive games, and especially the opportunity to experience and own a range of Samsung Galaxy products catering to study and entertainment needs with incredibly attractive discounts of up to 50%.

Prize Information of the Program

Teams participating in the finals will have the chance to win powerful “gaming buddies” with the prize structure including:

Prize for the Champion Team: 3 Samsung Galaxy A73 5G phones (each valued at 10,590,000 VND).

Prize for the Runner-up Team: 3 Samsung Galaxy A53 5G phones (each valued at 8,390,000 VND).

Prize for the Third Place Team: 3 Samsung Galaxy A33 5G phones (each valued at 6,890,000 VND).

Throughout the Student Gaming Festival, the Galaxy A73 5G will be the “special buddy” accompanying the contestants. Not only equipped with an 8-core Snapdragon 778G processor integrating cutting-edge 5G technology with Game Booster mode to optimize performance when gaming on the phone, the Galaxy A73 5G also features a 6.7″ Infinity-O Super AMOLED Plus display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and a refresh rate of 120Hz, ensuring that every movement and detail in the game is portrayed smoothly and vividly. Additionally, with an IP67 water resistance rating, the device will always be comprehensively protected.
