A player becomes the center of attention after BLG’s opening match loss at Worlds
On the first day of the Swiss stage of Worlds 2025, two highly anticipated teams, BLG and HLE, faced defeat. However, in comparison, HLE’s loss was somewhat “gentler” since AL is still a strong team. Meanwhile, 100T is considered one of the weakest teams among the former Major representatives. Therefore, although they managed to find victory again, the opening match loss still adds another “forgettable achievement” to Knight’s record.

Specifically, in the history of LPL teams participating in Worlds, they have won many but lost just as many. However, only Knight, as the Mid Laner, has been involved in two of the most “embarrassing” losses in LPL history: the match where TES lost to GAM at Worlds 2022 and the match where BLG lost to 100T at Worlds 2025. Both matches were BO1.
If in the match against GAM, fans of BLG and largely LPL fans could blame a bug, there is no room for debate regarding the loss to 100T. Considering the circumstances, 100T is rated as the weakest team at this year’s Worlds. This means they are even weaker than GAM in 2022.

BLG is having a smooth draw at Worlds but cannot be complacent
From the opening match of the Swiss Stage until now, BLG has continuously faced “soft opponents” like 100T, FNC, and soon G2. G2 itself is also an unpredictable team, but overall, the LEC representative is still somewhat inferior to BLG. BLG has learned a “lesson” from the match against 100T, and perhaps they no longer dare to be complacent.

However, the BO1 format still contains unpredictable outcomes, and there is no guarantee that BLG will secure a victory, especially when G2 is ready to pose challenges to any opponent, no matter how strong they may be.
