RNG will once again be directed by an "online coach" in the literal sense.

Recently, the third seed from LPL – Royal Never Give Up announced their roster for the 2021 World Championship, which includes:

6 main members of the Royal Never Give Up team

Mid Lane: Cryin and Yuekai (sub).

AD Carry: GALA.

Support: Ming.

Head Coach: Tabe (remotely).

Assistant Coach: Xiaobai.

Analyst: Yuzhang (remotely).

Immediately upon reading this announcement, the RNG fan community was very curious about the reason why Coach Tabe had to become an “online coach” at the 2021 World Championship. Just a few minutes later, RNG provided an explanation for this incident:

“We received an email notification from Riot Games on August 24 regarding the change of the 2021 World Championship venue to Europe. After receiving the notice, we rushed to prepare the VISA procedures for Coach Tabe. However, we faced a lot of difficulties during this process.”

It can be seen that the relocation of the 2021 World Championship from China to Europe has created quite a few difficulties for League of Legends teams regarding VISA issues. In particular, Coach Tabe’s inability to lead his students directly at the 2021 World Championship could significantly impact RNG’s strength on the world stage.

However, for RNG fans, this seems to be something… fortunate, at least in the “spiritual” aspect. Last summer, Coach Tabe also could not attend MSI 2021 in Iceland and had to direct RNG from afar. The results of that event are well known, and at this 2021 World Championship, once again it is Iceland, and once again Tabe must stay home. A few coincidences that are hard to believe, bring a bit of comfort to RNG fans.

In addition, RNG is also the last LPL team to announce their roster for the 2021 World Championship. This means that no team will have to use the “borrow” player rule as many speculated, and there will be no players “hitching a ride” to the 2021 World Championship from the LPL.
