However, the League of Legends community recently discovered an account that holds an incredibly impressive record for rank dropping. Specifically, an account from the Challenger tier with nearly 1000 points dropped straight down to Platinum IV with 0 points in just about 10 days. Additionally, many players confirmed that they had never seen such a swift drop in points before.
After investigating, the League of Legends community was extremely amused to find out that the aforementioned player continuously lost games. The reason is that this player’s actual skill level is only Iron. The Challenger account mentioned was purchased by this player. Clearly, a player with such a low skill level would struggle to win games when placed in the Challenger rank.
The losing streak was so severe that it caused the account’s hidden rank to drop to Silver. It seems that just a few more losses would see this player return to their actual rank (Iron). This is clearly a case of a disastrous account purchase, as this player paid money only to receive a record-setting losing streak.
From the perspective of the League of Legends community, many believe that Riot Games should permanently ban this account. The reason is that it has disrupted many matches. Moreover, account selling is completely prohibited in League of Legends. It may be time for Riot Games to take action to prevent this account from continuing to ruin matches (even if unintentionally).
