On July 1st, the veteran League of Legends player in Korea – Peanut was gifted a special present by his team, Nongshim RedForce, to celebrate reaching the milestone of 1000 kills at LCK.
Upon hearing this news, many fans jokingly mentioned that Nongshim is a food company famous for its “national” noodle brand in Korea, so the gift for Peanut would surely be a… crate of premium noodles for this “slender” guy to boost his health.

However, when Nongshim RedForce posted images of the gift being presented to Peanut, the LCK community was surprised to see that the gift was a solid gold coin – a precious gift both materially and spiritually.

Compared to many other players who reached 1000 kills and only received… a few congratulatory messages, this gift clearly shows Nongshim’s willingness to go above and beyond.
Not wanting to “miss out on a business opportunity”, Nongshim RedForce also limited the sale of 5 commemorative coins of Peanut along with a jersey signed by the player. Each product combo is priced at 500,000 won (approximately 10 million VND), and all 5 combos sold out within a few minutes of being available.

Looking at the positive side, this reward is certainly an effective way to encourage professional League of Legends players in Korea, helping them alleviate pressure when competing in a harsh environment like the LCK.
