In a recent talk show, two former SKT T1 players – Piglet and Untara – sat down together to discuss their experiences in professional League of Legends. Being part of the “T1 family,” the conversation inevitably turned to Faker – the “best friend” of both Untara and Piglet, and a source of pride for all the teammates who have stood by him.
During the Q&A segment, Untara and Piglet were asked, “Who do you think is the best ‘carry’ player in the world?” While Untara chose Uzi, Piglet immediately rebutted this answer quite… fiercely:
“Untara: Uzi, right?
Piglet: Are you asking about the Worlds tournament?
Then it has to be a Korean player; Koreans have won the most championships, while Uzi hasn’t even won a single trophy at the Worlds. It seems like people are misunderstanding what it means to be a great player. This is no longer just a game. This is a tournament. And if you haven’t won at a world event, you cannot claim to be the best.
Faker has won the most, so naturally, Faker is the best carry. I remember he has won three times, right?
Three times champion. It can only be Faker. Some people say he is no longer number one. Then I would ask those people, has their idol ever won the world championship? While it’s clear that Faker has achieved that. Among ADCs, Bang has the most world championships. Bang’s position might be a bit debatable, but comparing him to someone who has never won the world championship is pointless.
[…]
In summary, the greatest carry player in League of Legends history must be Faker; you cannot deny this. This is a fact. This is the truth, the truth, and the truth.”

Piglet and Faker were each other’s first teammates in SKT colors, and together they created the first golden generation of this legendary empire. However, while Piglet quickly fell from his peak after a painful defeat at the LCK in 2014, which led to SKT T1 missing the Worlds, Faker continued to maintain success in his career, leading SKT to win two more world championships.
