During the VCS break, transfer news has become the top concern for the Vietnamese League of Legends community. The first shots have been fired, with Coach Trần “Archie” Minh Nhựt leaving CERBERUS Esports and is almost certain to join Team Secret – the team that finished third in the VCS Spring 2021 after defeating Archie’s squad in the 3-4 match.
However, what has surprised the community is that Team Secret’s top laner – Đinh “Coated” Văn Tráng is no longer listed as a member of TS. Currently, the only official top laner for TS is Nagiya, along with a substitute player, Lê Văn “Jarvis” Tuấn Tú.
Coated was a top laner who had performed excellently last year, but as we entered Spring 2021, he seemed to have lost his form. The once highly-rated Coated among VCS top laners is no longer visible.
Coated’s departure has sparked a lot of mixed discussions within the community. Some speculate whether Coated will join SBTC Esports as they are in need of a talented top laner, especially after the sanction imposed on Zeros.
As for Coated and Team Secret, they have yet to make any official statements, and whichever team secures Coated’s services for the upcoming season will gain a quality addition. Coated is still very young and could easily regain his high form with the right opportunities.
