At LPL Summer 2023, there are 17 teams participating in the Group Stage, and they will fight fiercely for their own goals. Top teams like JD Gaming (JDG), LNG Esports (LNG), Bilibili Gaming (BLG)… aim for the championship or a ticket to the World Championship. However, for teams in the lower tier, a victory can sometimes mean a lot.

A notable example is the team Anyone’s Legend (AL), who recently had a hard-fought victory against ThunderTalk Gaming (TT). This is the first win for this team in nearly three months. The last time they won at LPL was on March 17 when AL defeated FunPlus Phoenix. Even AL player Xiaohao broke down in tears after winning following such a long drought.

“I am really emotional at this moment as I feel that I have just won in LPL. We haven’t won in such a long time, so today’s victory is truly very meaningful. I hope that both myself and the team will strive even harder in the future” – Player Xiaohao shared after the match.

In LPL Spring 2023, AL and UltraPrime (UP) both finished at the bottom of the standings with a win-loss record of 3-13 (a very poor number). Many fans joked that AL was no different from a “point bank” as they frequently gave away important points to their opponents.

Naturally, the AL players did not feel happy receiving this nickname. Therefore, they have worked harder in LPL Summer 2023 to try to secure more victories. It is hoped that with this recent win, AL will perform better in the future or at least avoid finishing at the bottom like they did in the Spring tournament.
