Information About VCS 2025 Surfaces
Even before the start of the 2024 World Championship, VCS fans were aware that top teams from the region would participate in LCP – the tournament organized after Riot merged VCS with the APAC region. However, there have been revelations that VCS will still be held, and recently, some new information has been rumored about the Vietnamese League of Legends tournament in 2025.
Accordingly, in the new season, there will still be several teams participating, most of which are unfamiliar names. However, among the rosters of these teams (not yet confirmed), there will still be familiar players for VCS fans, such as Hypermind (Bie, JackieWind) or Team Secret Whales Academy with coach Bigkoro from GAM Esports.
In addition, one team that remains in VCS after the merger with APAC is Team Flash, which will keep nearly its entire roster intact. This is also seen as the strongest candidate for promotion to LCP among the teams that could participate in the upcoming VCS 2025.
VCS Audience Only Questions One Important Issue
For Vietnamese League of Legends fans, the possibility of VCS continuing is good news. However, there are also many concerns. This is because tournaments like this usually receive less attention when top teams have left, and negativity can easily arise. Of course, it will still depend on the awareness of the players and the management of Riot. But there have been many “cautionary tales” in the global League of Legends scene, notably LDL.
No fan wants a repeat of the negativity similar to the “32 player” incident. But achieving this is not easy, especially when VCS will face even more challenges in attracting the same interest as before. And players must hold themselves accountable before expecting Riot to implement stricter management measures.
