It can be said that the professional League of Legends community worldwide has many ways to enhance the excitement in every tournament. One of those ways is the pre-match “trash talk” similar to what the “circus” G2 Esports often does.
However, as a show of respect for their opponents, teams usually only engage in “trash talk” before the match, and after the match, they would never speak disrespectfully towards the team that just lost.

Even Doublelift once said: “I usually trash talk before the match to add excitement. But some people wait until they win and disrespect the loser, that’s not cool. That’s not even trash talk; that’s just how scumbags express themselves.”

Yet, in the recent tournament by Riot Games, the Mid-Season Showdown 2020 VCSxPCS, the head coach of Talon Esports displayed very unsportsmanlike behavior towards the VCS representative, Team Flash.

To elaborate on this, after Team Flash lost in the finals to Talon Esports with a score of 1-3, the VCS representative posted a congratulatory message to their opponents that read:
“GGWP Talon Esports. They were the stronger team today.
The matches were very interesting, and we are also very happy to compete with a team from another region. Team Flash is very pleased to represent VCS at the Mid-Season Showdown […]”

Just a few hours later, the head coach of Talon Esports, Seo “Bigfafa” Min-seok, commented on this post with a rather rude remark: “That’s right, we’re not the champions. By the way, you guys aren’t lucky every day, are you? Cowards.”

Not stopping there, Bigfafa went back to his personal page to post a status that read: “We are not the champions. So what about you? Did you meet bad luck today?”

It can be said that all of Coach Bigfafa’s anger stemmed from a “trash talk” photo by Team Flash LoL before the tournament: “So we all know Talon is a team, not a champion, right?”
In reality, this was just a playful joke referring to the PCS having too many new teams with unfamiliar names that had never appeared before. However, after all, Coach Bigfafa chose to respond in a very disrespectful manner, which is quite different from other Korean coaches in the professional League of Legends community.
