After the release of patch 11.4, the currently hot meta champions (Camille, Renekton) have been nerfed to some extent, and the popular Mythic items have faced a similar fate. Some other champions will have a chance to return, and many new metas have been created.
Here are 5 champions that are dominating ranked play in the newly released patch 11.4.
Darius
With Camille and Renekton being weakened in patch 11.4, Darius has made a comeback in the Summoner’s Rift. Known as a strong melee champion, with those troublesome names being weakened, the throne will surely belong to the Noxian General.

The Blade of the Ruined King is Darius’s signature item, and it remains incredibly “overpowered” in League of Legends. Combined with his passive, Hemorrhage, Darius can deal massive damage and is not afraid of any melee matchup or being ganked during the laning phase. If played well, the Noxian General can be an incredibly strong carry for the team.
Kha’Zix
Never really a hot pick in the jungle role, even before the Pre-Season changes introduced by Riot to League of Legends, however, with jungle camps granting less gold and experience since patch 11.4, Kha’Zix is surprisingly being utilized again. His ability to gank early, along with not relying too much on items, allows jungle champions like Kha’Zix more opportunities to shine.

Alongside Kha’Zix, we could soon see the “return” of tanky junglers, with Sejuani being a prime example of a champion that was once very popular.
Viego
People often joke that to play Viego, you need to master all other champions. Just that is enough to describe the complexity of the Ruined King, but in reality, since his debut, Viego has proven to be an incredibly strong champion. And notably, contrary to the position that many predicted or that Riot intended for him upon release, Viego can still be powerful in the top lane or jungle but can unleash his full potential in the mid lane.
His poking ability is extremely annoying, and his roaming is quite stable. Viego is showing to be a very strong pick compared to other popular mid lane champions like Orianna, Syndra, or Viktor…

Seraphine
The biggest surprise is Seraphine appearing as a Bot Lane ADC since patch 11.4. However, in reality, this is also a double-edged sword for anyone, whether casual gamers climbing ranks or professional players.
Seraphine possesses a very strong charm ability, and this is one of the skills that allows her to dominate in mid lane or support roles. However, with Moonstone Renewer and Everfrost being her “signature items” and both are quite strong, Seraphine thus becomes “overpowered” as well.

Often accompanying her are sturdy champions with good tanking abilities or at least strong enough to act as her front line. All that players have to do is choose the right position and unleash their skills to annihilate the opponents.
Thresh
If there are any meta champions that are consistently strong, any update could make them a top choice in League of Legends, then the name that must be mentioned first is Thresh. The Chain Warden may not be picked as often compared to champions like Malphite, Galio, or Rell, Leona, but he has made a comeback in patch 11.4.

Not only does he possess a comprehensive skill set for offense and defense, but with marksmen like Jhin or Vayne, Thresh is the most reliable teammate. Not to mention, just one well-placed Death Sentence and a quick combo can make an enemy disappear from the map in the blink of an eye.
