Gumayusi is an incredibly talented player for T1. Despite being very young, his performances from LCK Summer 2021 to the 2021 World Championship and the first two matches of LCK Spring 2022 have been truly impressive. In the victory against Fredit BRION on January 14 (Vietnam time), Gumayusi was the standout player on T1 and was voted MVP of games 2 and 3.

With such talent, Gumayusi is also a “master of trash talk” for T1. Remember, back in LCK Summer 2021, Gumayusi declared that he and Keria were the strongest bot lane duo in League of Legends at that time. However, the outcome was quite “bitter” for him as after this statement, Gumayusi unexpectedly dropped in performance and had to concede his spot to veteran Teddy until the end of game 2 in the LCK Summer 2021 finals against DWG KIA.
After the successful debut against Kwangdong Freecs, Gumayusi continued his “trash talk” in an interview with Kukinews – a publication of LCK: “I want to win more titles than my senior Bang who just retired not long ago. I heard Gen.G is very strong this season, but they are more suited for the runner-up position because we are the champions.”

Gumayusi’s “early trash talk” is not without basis. After the past two matches, while T1 still has many issues to resolve, Gumayusi is proving to be a talented AD Carry. In fact, if we only consider recent performances, it can be said that T1 has found a new “Bang – Wolf” duo for their lineup. However, in LCK Summer 2021, Gumayusi also had moments of declining performance that worried fans.

Nevertheless, T1’s journey in LCK Spring 2022 is still long. Both Gumayusi and his teammates still have plenty of time and opportunities to prove that this young AD Carry’s statements are accurate and to bring the LCK Spring 2022 championship trophy home to T1.
