In early May, an organization named La Ligue Féminine in Europe established a semi-professional League of Legends tournament for female gamers.

This tournament is relatively small in scale, held online with a total prize pool of €600. However, professionalism is still prioritized with the main goal of promoting League of Legends among female gamers and boosting European Esports organizations.

However, right at the start of the tournament, 2 out of the 8 teams withdrew. As a result, only 6 teams remained in the tournament.
After 5 weeks of the tournament, today the organizers finally provided a clear explanation regarding the absence of the two teams, Absolved Female and Team Singularity Female, from La Ligue Féminine 2020.

First, regarding Team Singularity Female, they violated the transfer rules right before the tournament. The team wanted to add a new top laner, but that player was a member of another team in the tournament (player transfers between teams are prohibited once the tournament has started). Ultimately, this female team insisted on bringing the player onto their roster, resulting in them withdrawing from the tournament.

Secondly, for Absolved Female, the organizers announced that this team withdrew due to several issues related to schedule changes and player substitutions…
However, contrary to the organizers’ claims, the manager of Absolved Female spoke out accusing the organizers of engaging in negative behavior that undermined their trust. According to this team, the organizers unilaterally changed the match schedule and allowed their opponents to substitute players (due to a medical issue of one opponent’s player), and the head of the tournament even yelled at them while the organizers were the ones who violated the rules. Therefore, Absolved Female lost trust in the tournament and decided to withdraw despite not violating any rules.
