In the LCK Spring 2024 winners’ final, there were no surprises as Gen.G convincingly defeated HLE with a score of 3-1. Chovy’s outstanding performance helped the reigning LCK champion overcome challenging moments to achieve the final victory. By reaching the finals, Gen.G is also the first team in the LCK to secure a spot for the upcoming MSI 2024.

Not stopping there, the morale and confidence of Gen.G soared after their recent victory over HLE. Chovy himself acknowledged that he is at his peak form and expressed his desire to maintain this “shape” at the upcoming MSI 2024. Additionally, Chovy affirmed that his team would secure their fourth consecutive LCK title.
“I really don’t want to compare players with each other. My current goal is to give my best and achieve the best win rate in the LCK and further at MSI 2024. If we maintain this level of play, we will definitely win the LCK title for the fourth consecutive time. I will do my best to ensure that,” Chovy stated after the match.

It is noteworthy that in LCK history, no team has been able to break T1’s record of three consecutive regional championships (previously known as SKT T1). Only DWG KIA during the 2020-2021 season and Gen.G currently have matched this achievement. If Gen.G can win the LCK Spring 2024 title, they will create a remarkable milestone in the tournament’s history with four consecutive regional titles.

Indeed, with outstanding performance from the group stage to the playoffs, Gen.G is showing themselves as a powerful winning machine. The balance across all five positions allows Gen.G to deploy various strategies and team compositions without fear of being countered by opponents. Moreover, the return of Azir as a selectable champion gives Chovy an incredibly strong “trump card” in crucial matches.

Fairly speaking, Gen.G is currently the biggest contender for the LCK Spring 2024 title. Especially in the context where T1 has suffered a significant dip in performance due to DDoS attacks, Gen.G currently has no strong rivals. It would not be surprising if Gen.G continues to achieve convincing victories and sets a record of winning the LCK four times in a row in the near future.
