DOTA 2 Legend Achieves “Incredible” Feat

The end of the year is often a tense time for the entire Esports community as almost all the major tournaments converge during this period. In fact, over time, many Esports titles at this point can be considered to have concluded their seasons, with DOTA 2 being a prime example. Recently, The International 2025 tournament concluded with Team Falcons taking the championship. At the same time, this tournament allowed Aui_2000 to achieve a milestone that may be very difficult for the entire Esports community to break.

Accordingly, player Kurtis “Aui_2000” Ling has become the first person in Esports history to win the prestigious TI tournament in DOTA 2 as both a player and a coach, and has done this more than once. In 2015, Aui_2000 won TI while playing for Evil Geniuses, and his victory was marked by the “Echo Slam for 6 million USD” that shocked the entire DOTA 2 community. Now, Aui_2000 has won TI twice as a coach, once in 2022 when he led Tundra Esports and this time with Team Falcons.

Moreover, this achievement also allows Aui_2000’s two students from his time at Tundra Esports, Skiter and Sneyking, to be listed among the players who have won TI twice. Additionally, alongside Aui_2000, Zonic from CS:GO is also regarded as the greatest coach in the history of this game with 4 Major championships with Astralis and Team Vitality. However, when he was still a player, he only competed in Counter-Strike 1.6, and at that time there were no official Major tournaments.

Aui_2000 is Truly a “Living Legend” of DOTA 2

In the past, when he was still playing, Aui_2000 went through a long period without being able to reach any titles. It was not until he joined EG that he was able to shine in major and minor DOTA 2 tournaments, culminating in the TI 2015 championship.

However, after that, Aui_2000 wandered through many different teams and at one point held both player and coach roles before landing at Tundra Esports and then Team Falcons to write new chapters in his career.
