From a position of “comfort”, T1 is now facing many difficulties in LCK
Before the match between Gen.G and KT took place, most of the League of Legends community probably believed that the top 3 teams of LCK would go to Worlds right after this match. In reality, the confidence was well-founded and completely logical. However, a surprise occurred and the “tragedy” for T1 was that they also lost to HLE in the very next match. This defeat pushed T1 down to the lower bracket and into a “back against the wall” situation.
It doesn’t matter whether the opponent is DK or BFX, but clearly, the confidence of T1 fans has significantly diminished. Both DK and BFX have caused T1 a lot of trouble in the past. Not to mention that BFX is currently in great spirits, while DK has a “supporting past”. For those who may not know, DK has never missed any Worlds since 2019.
T1 has no way back.
However, T1 still has grounds to be confident. If they can address the weaknesses exposed in the HLE match and regain their form and focus, T1 can absolutely secure a victory. The team that wins this match will earn the final ticket to the 2025 Worlds in China and will face Gen.G in the lower bracket match.
Additionally, the match in the upper bracket between KT and HLE will also be very noteworthy. KT surprised everyone by defeating Gen.G, but no one can predict whether KT will create another upset.
