The content of Deft’s heartfelt letter warms fans’ hearts

After the season ended, the League of Legends community is well aware that Deft will temporarily part ways with the professional scene to fulfill his mandatory military service. This is unavoidable and the timing is appropriate as the superstar born in 1996 has long completed his collection of titles. Before departing, Deft held a fan meeting and wrote a letter to his fans.

First, I want to sincerely thank everyone for taking the time to attend my farewell party. I was just a 17-year-old boy when I started my career, and now I’ve grown up and it’s time for me to fulfill my duty to the country. Time truly flies. Every moment spent alongside and chatting with fans is a special and joyful memory for me.

If I write too much, it might seem like I won’t return, so I’ll stop here!

For me, this is not the end yet. Therefore, I will try to stay healthy to come back to the position that both I and the fans always desire! I will go and return safely!

Always grateful to everyone.”

Deft’s letter also hints at the possibility of him returning to the professional scene once his service is completed. Therefore, fans can’t help but eagerly await the day the superstar born in 1996 makes his “comeback” to the League of Legends professional scene.

Deft Will Face Many Challenges

In theory, if Deft returns, and League of Legends still exists with teams looking to recruit, he could completely continue to compete. However, this is not easy at all. A two-year absence from the professional scene is enough for Deft to “fall out of the meta.” Getting back into the game at over 30 years old is nearly impossible.

At that time, Deft might consider roles as a streamer or coach, like many of his senior colleagues have done. This is also a more feasible way and is often chosen by former League of Legends stars upon their return to the professional scene.

But no matter the outcome, fans will continue to wait for Deft and support him in his future decisions.
