After defeating KT Rolster and DWG KIA in two matches, the morale and performance of T1 players are at an all-time high, as they faced another familiar opponent – Afreeca Freecs. Although they encountered some difficulties, with AF not being an easy target, T1 ultimately secured an extremely important victory, thanks to a reasonable strategy and the brilliance of individual players.
Throughout all three matches, both teams maintained a relatively balanced game during the laning phase. However, T1 capitalized better on team fights in games 1 and 3. Additionally, support from Riot’s balancing team with the champion “200 experience version 2” – Gwen, in the hands of Canna, helped Faker and his teammates secure the decisive victory.
However, even if Gwen proved too overpowered, AF could only blame themselves for letting this champion slip into Canna’s hands – a player who excels with Gwen despite an inconsistent performance since the start of the season.

With their third consecutive victory, T1 continues to surge in the rankings. The former LCK champions currently hold the third position in the LCK Summer 2021 standings, with 8 wins and 5 losses. They could even compete for one of the top two spots, as the gap between T1 and NS or GEN is only a maximum of 2 wins (assuming both teams win their 13th matches).
