Early System Activation
In patch 5.5, the Demon Tribe no longer requires 3 champions to activate the system. While towards the end of the game, activating the system to create Demons’ minions may not be very effective, it’s important to remember that Demons are not strong because of their ability to create minions; rather, the added attack speed is what makes many players fond of Demons. Many may choose to use the Legion instead, but keep in mind that the Legion requires more equipment compared to Demons.

Additionally, the ability to activate the system at thresholds of 2/4/6/8 also allows players to pivot their formations more easily, as only 4 champions are needed to gain a significant amount of attack speed. In the previous season, having to use 5 champions to reach the required power threshold for Demons made most players reactive in their strategies and vulnerable to losses late in the game, especially when combining with other champions as the number of Demons on the board was often too high.
Easier Formation Building
As mentioned earlier, being able to activate the system with just 2 to 4 champions also allows Demons to form combinations more easily than before. In the mid-game phase, players can strategize and pivot their formations towards offense to compensate for defense or prioritize sturdiness when they can combine with at least 3 very strong tribes in the new season, such as Knights (Poppy), Cannoneers (Tristana), and Warriors (Kennen), or if lucky, might even have Mystics with Lulu or Knights (Kled).
With any formation that Demon champions can combine with in the new season, they are strong and possess a full range of damage, crowd control, and attack speed… and notably, except for Kennen’s Warrior, all others can activate their system at the threshold of 2, making the use of Demons in the previous season a passive choice, now becoming one of the most flexible formations.

No Longer Dependent on Teemo
In the recent Season 5, the Demon formation was not very popular partly due to the reliance on its strongest champion: Teemo. Being a 5-cost champion, players wanting to acquire Teemo had to upgrade their formation early. However, the crucial point is that Teemo can only be purchased with health. Typically, players need to gather enough gold to upgrade their level on time, but it is almost certain that Demons struggle to maintain a win streak when countered by the meta too much, and maintaining a loss streak requires careful calculation because one misstep could lead to elimination when Teemo is finally acquired.
The addition of Tristana in Season 5.5 significantly strengthens the Demon formation. No longer reliant on Ziggs at the beginning of the game or forced to have Teemo, players using the Demon tribe can build their formations more freely and gather resources for a late-game surge.

Moreover, in comparison, the damage output from Tristana is more dynamic and harder to counter as this champion can leap across the board with her skills. And notably, at just 2 gold, Tristana is much easier to upgrade compared to the famous explosive raccoon from the Demon tribe.
