Chovy “Flexes” After Defeating T1
A few days ago, Gen.G achieved a hard-fought yet extremely significant victory against T1 with a score of 2-1 in the LCK Regular Season. It’s worth noting that Chovy and his teammates had previously defeated another major name, HLE, making Gen.G’s unbeaten record after the first week of competition even more noteworthy. This seems to be a strong affirmation from Gen.G about their power and ambition to win the LCK title this season.

After winning against T1, Chovy also shared some notable insights about the changes in Gen.G compared to the previous LCK Cup stage. The star believes that the cohesion among Gen.G players is still very good, but they struggled to adapt to the LCK Cup meta. Chovy also admitted that this weakness of Gen.G has been unintentionally removed by Riot Games, allowing the team to be in a very strong state heading towards the LCK title this season.

“The biggest change for us compared to the LCK Cup is that the whole team no longer needs to worry about lane swap strategies. I feel like I’ve been somewhat favored by Riot Games with this change. The main reason comes from the fact that our players are all very strong in their lanes, and the lane swap strategy completely diminishes that advantage. We can currently coordinate extremely effectively and can defeat any opponent as we aim for the LCK title,” Chovy shared.

Chovy and Teammates Could Face “Painful” Losses in Week 2 of LCK Regular Season
With two crucial victories over HLE and T1, Gen.G has had what many consider a “dream” start to the LCK Regular Season. However, the upcoming second week holds many “traps” for this team as they face tough opponents including DK and NS. Both of these teams also achieved a perfect record after Week 1, just like Gen.G, so they present extremely large challenges for Chovy and his teammates.

It’s important to note that the young players of DK, such as Siwoo and Lucid, are rapidly improving, while NS has transformed significantly with Lehends back in the lineup. Therefore, this can be seen as a pivotal week for Gen.G as they will face many tough opponents directly competing with them. If Chovy and his teammates become complacent and suffer defeats, their competitiveness in the current LCK season will be put into serious question.
Hopefully, Gen.G will not repeat this mistake and will continue to maintain their high performance to achieve successful results in the upcoming week of competition.
