T1 – Gumayusi Continues to Be a Topic of Controversy
It was thought that during the Regular Seasons 2025 matches, T1’s internal situation would stabilize, and there would be no drama other than personnel issues. However, recently, an action that seemed normal ignited new drama. Specifically, on the evening of April 8 (Vietnam time), Coach Tom’s feedback to Keria about the performance of the bot lane (possibly during the match against Gen.G) was unexpectedly leaked, becoming a hotly debated topic.

Accordingly, the feedback was just a sentence in Korean from Coach Tom, reportedly recounting Gumayusi’s words, which said, “Is it just you playing poorly?” In reality, no one knows the specific context and Gumayusi’s attitude at that moment. The T1 ADC has never shown any behavior or statements that blame others before. Given Gumayusi’s personality, it could even be said that if this sentence was expressed with an unhappy mood, it would be seen as self-reproach.
It can be understood that Gumayusi was asking Coach Tom if it was just his poor performance that caused the entire team to lose.

However, with the context still unclear, the incident sparked conflicting negative opinions. One side criticized Gumayusi for raising a somewhat sensitive question and “implying blame.” Others asserted that Smash was too careless to leak the feedback from the internal discord to the outside. Nevertheless, most opinions suggested that this feedback leak was simply an “accident” and that without knowing the context of those involved, no conclusions could be drawn.

Perhaps now the term “T1” has become incredibly sensitive to the LoL community
Always attracting a lot of attention whenever they appear, the dramas only make the name T1 hotter and more sensitive. At this moment, it seems that every move from this team will always be scrutinized and can become a subject of controversy. It’s just unfortunate that most dramas do not stem from professional factors but rather backstage troubles.
