One of the most exciting matches of MSI 2023 so far has to be the showdown between Gen.G and T1. Not only rich in expertise, but the match also deserves the title “Super Classic” as it featured incredible plays, mistakes, and strategic elements from both teams… It can be said that this was the match that fans of League of Legends have been eagerly anticipating at this year’s MSI.

However, recently, fans discovered another factor that occurred during the T1 – Gen.G match. Specifically, this situation arose when Chovy’s Aurelion Sol used his R – Starfall ability. Normally, when this ability is activated, it deals magic damage and stuns the enemy hit. If Aurelion Sol has enough Stardust and the R ability transforms (into Starfall), it increases the size and area of effect of the skill. Additionally, there is a shockwave that radiates from the edge of the area, dealing damage and slowing down enemy champions hit by it.

However, when Chovy’s Aurelion Sol reactivated the ability, a situation occurred where Delight’s Tahm Kench used R – Devour on Chovy. At that moment, Aurelion Sol’s skill in Chovy’s hands (transformed into Starfall) did not generate the shockwave as it should have. Players pointed out that this bug only appears when Aurelion Sol is Devoured by the allied Tahm Kench. If it were an enemy Tahm Kench, the skill would still operate normally.

However, according to many viewers watching the match, the presence or absence of the shockwave likely could not hinder T1’s progress. Not to mention, in that second game, Gen.G was completely at a disadvantage. Therefore, the existence of a bug would not be able to change the outcome of the match. Additionally, there have been many bugs occurring with the champion Tahm Kench even before MSI 2023, but Riot has not made many changes to this champion.
Some opinions even suggest that T1 at MSI 2023 is gathering all favorable conditions. The players have learned a lot from their previous losses. And other factors are also supporting T1. Therefore, this time at MSI, T1 may truly be the “Chosen One.” Both the players and fans are eagerly anticipating a title after four consecutive disappointments since MSI 2022.
