The LCK Summer has reached the final match of the season with DK and T1 competing in the finals. Not only does it signify the championship and a direct ticket to the 2021 World Championship, but the confrontation between DK and T1 is also a clash filled with history as both teams share a relationship that goes beyond a mere rivalry, deeply rooted in personnel matters.
DK’s coach kkOma is currently linked to the golden era of T1 in the past, and DK’s top laner – “The Great Khan” also used to be a member of T1. Additionally, DK’s analyst – Coach Daeny was also a former coach of T1 but became the first coach in the history of this team to be replaced mid-season.

Because of such unfinished business, when answering an interview before the finals, Coach Daeny could not hide his regret when talking about his time at T1, even though he has now returned to his “old home” – the place where he once crowned the champion of the 2020 World Championship. Coach Daeny stated: “I had prepared a lot to get T1 ready for the playoffs and the World Championship. However, in the end, I was never given the opportunity to execute these plans, and I am truly disappointed about that. After leaving T1, I had to find a team where I could help them win the LCK and the World Championship. I received an offer from Coach kkOma, and after careful consideration, I decided to return to DK.”
Furthermore, Coach Daeny also provided some insights about the upcoming match against his former students: “It’s important to read the game well, especially for such an important match like the finals. I can predict how the match will unfold based on the ban-pick sequences of each game on that day.”

Only one day remains until the final match of the LCK Summer 2021 takes place. It can be said that whether DK or T1 takes the crown, this will be the most anticipated match, not only because it features two of the strongest teams in the LCK today but also due to the reunion of many intertwined histories.
