In patch 11.11 of Teamfight Tactics, a series of Divine champions like Soraka, Nidalee, Riven, and Karma have received significant buffs from Riot Games. The increased spawn rate of 3-cost units at level 7 also allows players to upgrade key carries like Riven and Nidalee more easily. This has led players to realize the potential of the Divine team composition with two main carries, Riven and Nidalee, and leverage it to climb the ranks.

The ideal start for players using this composition is to buy Aatrox and Kalista early to activate the 2 Legionnaire threshold. At this point, you will use Knight units like Leona, Poppy, and Nautilus to form your frontline. If you can acquire Soraka early, combining her with Reincarnation units like Lissandra and Vladimir is a solid strategy.

As you move into the mid-game, your goal is to use your strongest champions to maintain your health as much as possible. At level 7, you can aim to complete the 6 Divine threshold and accompany it with any Legionnaire champion to grant additional attack speed to Riven. Additionally, you can pursue a 4 Legionnaire – 4 Divine composition if you can upgrade Yasuo to 2 stars early or if you struggle to find Karma.

The key to victory here is to roll frequently at level 7 to upgrade your team composition as efficiently as possible. With the increased appearance rate of 3-cost champions, you will be able to easily roll for Riven and Nidalee at 2 stars during the mid-game. If you acquire 6-7 units of 1-star Riven, you should continue rolling to elevate her to 3 stars instead of leveling up to 8. In case of bad luck, keep your gold and level up to search for stronger units.
As you approach the late game, you need to roll to find Garen and add damage to your lineup. This champion will significantly boost the damage output of your Divine units, helping you secure victories. If you cannot find strong Divine units, transitioning to a 6 Legionnaire composition is also a viable option. This way, your Riven will have a high attack speed, allowing players to focus on assembling damage items.

The item build for Riven will depend largely on whether you choose to go the 6 Legionnaire or 6 Divine route. If you opt for 6 Legionnaire, Riven must have Bloodthirster to ensure her sustain. After that, you should combine with a Giant Slayer to maximize crit damage and overall damage output.

In the case you play towards 6 Divine, Riven may not need Bloodthirster as she already has strong sustain. Instead, you should focus on building attack speed items for Riven to fully utilize the bonus AD from her skills. Additionally, regardless of the version you are playing, you should always build a Quicksilver for Riven to prevent her from being crowd-controlled to death. For Nidalee, you should build Thief’s Gloves as this unit can effectively utilize almost all types of items.
