Among the top 4 teams from VCS Spring 2021, excluding SBTC Esports, Team Secret has experienced significant roster changes with the departure of top laner Coated and support CBL.
The team that finished third in the previous Spring season must quickly make additions as the new season approaches. And yesterday, May 28th, rumors surfaced that TS has added Nguyễn “Jerry” Tiến Duy and Dương “Simon” Thanh Hòa – two former players from OverPower Esports to their roster.
While Simon is a strong name in OPG’s lineup during VCS Summer 2020, Jerry is also a noteworthy player from OPG’s roster when competing in the VCS Promotion Tournament Spring 2021 before the team decided to disband.
However, Jerry may only serve as a backup option for Artifact, while Simon will have to compete fiercely for a starting position against Nagiya, who showed impressive performances when replacing Coated last season.
Additionally, there are reports that Team Flash has signed 2004-born player Lê “Dante” Văn Dự. It is known that Dante previously played for Young Buffalo but could not secure a promotion spot. Furthermore, Dante recently achieved Rank 1 on the Challenger leaderboard of the Vietnam server. Recruiting Dante might be a backup plan for Meliodas or a direct replacement for Meliodas if the player leaves FL in the future.
