If you’ve noticed, in the recent 12.1 patch of Teamfight Tactics, a series of champions using Morello’s Evil Tome have received buffs to their skill damage. This is because Riot wanted to compensate for the nerf to Morello’s Evil Tome; however, it inadvertently made certain units exceptionally strong. The most notable example is Twisted Fate, as several Challenger players from China have successfully experimented with pushing this unit to become the main carry.

By using Twisted Fate as the main carry, the basic playstyle of this composition is to reroll to upgrade the 1-cost units to 3 stars. With the extremely strong damage output of both Twisted Fate and Darius, this composition can maintain health very well during the reroll phase. Besides the two champions mentioned, you should also consider including Guardian units like Poppy or Blitzcrank to enhance Darius’ durability.

At level 5, you should add Ziggs to the composition to supplement the damage for the entire team with the Mage trait. At this point, players will apply a slow roll strategy to get Twisted Fate and Darius to 3 stars as soon as possible. Additionally, this also gives you a better chance to complete the 3 Gang milestone with Zyra or Shaco. Buying Gang units in the waiting queue is never a waste, as having 5 champions is a significant power spike for this composition.

After completing the roll for Twisted Fate and Darius, players will move on to level up and find ways to include as many Guardian units into the team as possible. Champions like Leona or even Braum are extremely strong in the mid-game, so reaching 4 Guardians at level 7 is very important.
In the late game, you can look for Akali to replace Syndra if you have a 2-star Braum with sufficient tankiness. If you possess the Gang Emblem, you can play up to the 7 champion mark of this clan by giving that emblem to Leona to further increase this unit’s durability.

Regarding core technology choices, you can use the Perfect Heist upgrade if you have Darius and Twisted Fate at 2 stars early. Additionally, the Backline Sneak upgrade is also a great enhancement as it will help Twisted Fate (who usually stands right behind the Guardian units) become much tougher. Moreover, as a reroll composition, you should also take upgrades that provide gold and items to facilitate the building of your team.
For item choices, Twisted Fate really needs Blue Buff and Morello’s Evil Tome to deal consistent damage in fights. For the third item, you can use any skill damage-boosting item like Rabadon’s Deathcap, Archangel’s Staff, or Staff of Flowing Water. If you decide to use Akali in the late game, Guardian Angel is an essential item.
