On the afternoon of October 16, the finals of the Yomost VFL Summer 2022 officially kicked off. This was the final day of the highest-level and largest tournament in the Free Fire scene in Vietnam. With 12 teams participating, all teams had to do their utmost to bring home victory and titles for their home teams, as well as spots in the Free Fire World Series 2022 – the most prestigious international tournament of the game at the end of the year.

Right from the opening minutes, Grave Digger (GD) made a big surprise by securing the first Booyah! in the opening match. However, in the next game, 2E excelled in winning Booyah! and climbed to second place in the overall ranking with 20 kills after 2 rounds.

The third game marked the awakening of the “king” of the group stage HQ Esports (HQ) as they secured their first Booyah! of the day, while 2E remained closely behind in third place.
Immediately following, continuing their impressive form, 2E scored their second Booyah! in the next game, effectively turning the Yomost VFL Summer 2022 finals into a two-horse race between 2E and HQ.

Entering the second half of the competition day, HQ continued to assert their “king” status by achieving a double Booyah! in rounds 5 and 6. With 3 Booyah! in the finals, and 2E showing signs of fatigue in the pivotal matches, HQ was on the verge of claiming their first championship trophy.

Overlooked by the two-horse race between 2E and HQ during 3/4 of the early finals, Team Flash (FL) exploded with a Booyah! in the seventh game, climbing to second place in the rankings. With a significant gap, the trophy was already in HQ’s hands, and the final game was a battle for the second “ticket to Thailand” between Team Flash and MDH Esports.

And there couldn’t be a more thrilling match as the two teams competed in the final Booyah round. Although MDH Esports secured the last Booyah! of the day, it couldn’t keep the ticket to Thailand with them. In the end, HQ Esports and Team Flash will represent Vietnam in the upcoming Free Fire World Series 2022.
Thus, the Yomost VFL Summer 2022 finals concluded successfully with HQ Esports lifting the championship trophy after many years of waiting. Congratulations to Neo and his teammates for breaking the “runner-up curse” and becoming the true kings of the tournament.
Wishing HQ Esports and Team Flash great success and good results in the upcoming Free Fire World Series 2022.
