In TFT Season 12, a host of new traits and synergies have emerged, exciting yet confusing players. This is because almost none of the previous season’s traits have been retained, even those with similar names (like Gunner, Mage…) have brought entirely different synergy effects. And although it was just released on July 31st (Vietnam time) on the official client, many compositions have already been discovered by players. One of these, which appears to be very strong, is the Kalista Rapid Fire composition – a lineup that almost reaches Exodia level with all high-cost champions.

Overview and Gameplay
Kalista Rapid Fire has the advantage of being a trait that doesn’t require the highest synergy level to be strong. However, since Kalista is a 4-cost champion, and there are previous champions like Akali or Ashe that also need items, this can pose a challenge for players. Additionally, Rapid Fire has almost only Hecarim as a durable champion (and this champion is not purely tanky), so players will often need to activate Guardian to enhance their defense. While it may be difficult for the Kalista Rapid Fire composition to achieve rank 1, reaching the top 4 is entirely feasible.

In the early levels, players can easily navigate through simple rounds with Jax – Lillia – Ashe – Kassadin. These are low-cost champions (1, 2 gold) that can be acquired and upgraded early. Additionally, their current durability is acceptable before players can acquire higher-level pieces.

Moving into the mid-game stage, champions like Hecarim and Akali will help players increase both attack and defense capabilities. It’s important to keep Lillia to activate Guardian as well as Mystic for Kalista later on. If you have the Mystic emblem, or have more useful Guardian champions (Poppy, Shen), you can temporarily bring them into the match.

Towards the end of the game, even though you don’t need to activate the highest trait level (with Rapid Fire being level 9), players still must activate the 7 Rapid Fire trait to maximize the strength of this composition. Furthermore, upgrading Kalista to 2 stars is essential as a 1-star level won’t suffice to “carry the team”. In addition, Akali’s damage is quite impressive, and if using Shen, players can try to find the Mystic emblem for this champion.
The completed composition at level 9: Hecarim – Jax – Shen – Lillia – Camille – Akali – Kalista – Ashe – Kassadin.

Strengths and Weaknesses
Kalista Rapid Fire is a composition rich in damage, from physical damage, range to magic. Its ability to charge in or combine with other traits is strong, and the synergy mechanism can directly increase the power of the main champions, while also providing many effects for the entire composition. The weakness of this composition lies in the fragility of the champions, poor defensive capabilities, and the need for many items. Therefore, only when activating traits from level 5 and above, and having many component items, can players consider utilizing the Kalista Rapid Fire composition.
