Unique Path
One fact about TFT Season 12 is that the 4-cost champions possess an overwhelming amount of power. Melee carries at this price point like Fiora, Olaf have comprehensive skills in both damage dealing and tanking. Meanwhile, ranged carries like Ryze, Kalista, and Varus do not rely on traits or origins to deal significant damage.

Not to mention the frontline units like Taric and Tahm Kench that have significant durability. Combined with the extra health and attack speed from the Unique Path core, these units can wield impressive power. It is not an exaggeration to say that receiving the Unique Path core early is like having an “insurance policy” for ranking points, as this composition boasts a top 4 placement rate of 62.8%.
Kog’Maw – Hunter
With the Fast 8 playstyle being favored at the start of Season 12, 2-cost carry units seem to have little competition. In fact, Riot has expanded the champion pool for costs of 3 and below in TFT Season 12. This is seen as the perfect condition for the reroll playstyle with the Kog’Maw – Hunter composition to maximize its power.

As for Kog’Maw, this unit has a relatively “unique” skill as a carry, dealing damage while buffing attack speed for allies. Thus, players should prioritize assembling energy regeneration items like Spear of Shojin to maximize this unit’s versatility. Furthermore, supporting carries in the Hunter composition like Jinx or Tristana also need to be equipped with items to optimize the value Kog’Maw brings.
Galio Déjà vu
The core name of Galio (Déjà vu) in TFT Season 12 is a play on words from Riot as they aim to transform this unit into the Deaja Dragon of Season 7. In reality, this core completely changes Galio’s playstyle, turning this unit from a tank into an extremely powerful carry. When combined with the inherent durability of the Vanguard trait, this composition becomes very troublesome when fully built.

For Galio as a carry, players should aim for 2 Guinsoo’s Rageblade and Hextech Gunblade. These will help Galio optimize damage and energy regeneration from the Déjà vu core on hit. Additionally, upgrades that enhance the durability of the Vanguards are also very suitable for this composition.
