T1’s Worlds 2023 Skin Sparks Controversy
A few days ago, the T1 Worlds 2023 skin line appeared on the PBE test client. This event immediately sparked a lot of controversy in the League of Legends community worldwide.
While this skin line was well received in the West and Korea, a section of the audience in the LPL and VCS had more critical opinions. Most of these comments revolve around the fact that the new skins do not reflect T1’s colors (which are primarily white, red, and black).
Furthermore, the designs of some champions and the splash art were criticized for not being as stunning as those of DRX or Invictus Gaming – skins that are considered some of the most beautiful in League of Legends history.

But the Official T1 Worlds 2023 Skin is Different
Recently, however, the official splash art for T1 has been revealed, and the reactions have been overwhelmingly positive, if not a complete 180-degree turn from the PBE version. In fact, compared to the test version on PBE, there have been certain adjustments, the most significant being the appearance of Jayce by Zeus. Zeus’s Jayce skin design is more rugged, embodying the style of a gentleman compared to the more youthful look in the PBE splash art. The designs of the other champions have also been rated as much more sophisticated than previous leaks.

Immediately, in the VCS, the new splash art has seen virtually no negative feedback from the community. In fact, some viewers even remarked that the official splash art might even surpass the previous version from DRX. While the Blue Dragon skin in 2022 depicted warriors, T1’s splash art is regarded as exuding the aura of royalty – deserving of the team with the most championships in League of Legends history.

At this moment, alongside the intense matches of the Summer 2024 tournament, fans are likely looking forward to the official release of T1’s skin line on the main client. Not only is it a skin line celebrating the champions, but it also carries the meaning and controversies it has brought over time.
