Zeus Sets a New Historical Milestone for LCK
Entering the match against DNS, HLE was highly favored and expected to easily secure a victory before facing Gen.G over the weekend. Not disappointing the audience’s expectations, HLE overcame their opponent relatively easily. Notably, Zeus also established a new milestone in LCK history, but this achievement left fans “in a mix of laughter and tears”.

Accordingly, Zeus became the first player to use Annie in the Top Lane position in LCK history. This is even more significant as Annie is one of the first champions to appear in Summoner’s Rift and has been a favorite champion for many prominent midlaners. However, in the other solo lane position in League of Legends, it wasn’t until the match against DNS that Annie was used in the toplane. Previously, Annie had appeared in the AD and Support roles.

However, on Annie’s debut in the Top Lane, Zeus became the target that DNS fully exploited. By the 20th minute (before Baron appeared), Zeus had died a total of 6 times, averaging once every 3 minutes. This is a very rare figure, even in matches where HLE was overwhelmed by their opponents.
It can be said that DNS had set their sights on completely neutralizing the power of HLE’s toplaner. However, when Zeus went down, the two stronger damage sources for HLE, Zeka and Gumayusi, stepped up to secure the victory for the “Orange House”.

Zeus and HLE Are in Good Form
More than just a victory, the match against DNS showcased the smooth coordination of HLE’s members. Coupled with the confidence they displayed, it is clear that Zeus and his teammates are in good form and mindset. This will be an important foundation before HLE faces the “king of LCK” in their next match.
