Zeus expresses disappointment with Riot’s policies
Before the 2025 season began, Riot implemented a series of new changes to put an end to the lane swap meta that has dominated every professional League of Legends tournament since early 2024. In fact, Riot wanted to eradicate this meta so thoroughly that they increased turret damage to an unimaginable level, allowing them to “one-hit” champions in an instant. However, in response to community backlash, Riot was forced to revert some of these changes, inadvertently making the meta even more unpredictable. Zeus is the latest player to express his dissatisfaction with Riot.

Specifically, in a recent statement, Zeus said: “It’s a bit different from what I expected. I thought the lane swap situation would diminish, but realistically, this lane swap meta still exists. Moreover, following Riot’s policies, the addition of Fearless Draft allows for more diverse picks, which could make the lane swap gameplay even more dangerous and unpredictable.”

Zeus himself is a highly skilled laner with a wide champion pool. Thus, he can flexibly play in various directions, whether it’s the weak side or the resource-rich side. The HLE players are also highly skilled with diverse play styles. Therefore, even though the lane swap meta still exists and combines with Fearless Draft, HLE continues to perform well. Alongside Gen.G, they are the second team in the LCK with a lengthy undefeated streak. The only loss HLE has faced in the 2025 Regular Seasons was against the MSI 2024 champions.

Zeus Ready to “Sow Grief” for T1 Once Again
Since leaving T1, Zeus has been undefeated in matches against his former team. However, one undeniable fact is that Zeus has never faced T1 with Gumayusi in the lineup.
Therefore, the match between T1 and HLE in the 8th week of the Regular Seasons 2025 will be highly anticipated. No longer an unstable T1, but the likelihood that Zeus will defeat his former team again is quite high, especially as HLE continues to show their completeness day by day.
