On October 30, 2022, Tundra Esports emerged as the champion of the most lucrative Esports tournament on the planet – DOTA 2 The International 2022 (TI11). This is the largest tournament in the world, with a total prize pool reaching $18,930,775 (approximately 470 billion VND).

After an impressive group stage, Tundra Esports was regarded as a strong contender for the championship. Indeed, this team continuously defeated many strong opponents and only lost a single game in the Main Event. Entering the final match against Team Secret, the Tundra Esports boys continued to shine, defeating their opponent with a stunning score of 3-0.

In all three games, Team Secret, despite having multiple opportunities to choose their favorite heroes, were countered by Tundra. Furthermore, the elevated performance of all five Tundra Esports members was more evident than ever, showcasing impressive plays and seamless coordination. Thus, Tundra Esports secured a 3-0 victory to lift the Aegis and received a massive reward of $8.5 million (approximately 210 billion VND). Meanwhile, Team Secret took home $2.45 million (approximately 61 billion VND) for their runner-up title.

Before the Main Event of TI11 took place, not many people believed that Tundra Esports could achieve success at the largest DOTA 2 tournament in the world. However, their elimination of tough opponents like OG and Aster… to reach the final was not surprising. Their record of 17 wins and 4 draws is the clearest evidence of their prowess.

Additionally, although the total prize pool is quite large at over $18 million (more than 470 billion VND), this is a significant decrease compared to previous seasons of The International. Nonetheless, it remains an incredibly impressive prize in the world of esports in particular and the sports world in general.
