After the news about Divine Esports recruiting Tinikun was revealed, although he hasn’t officially confirmed it, this former coach has made subtle moves that suggest otherwise. Recently, the former captain of GAM posted a cryptic message, which, according to the community’s interpretation, is a status “listing” the personnel who will help him build the League of Legends team at Divine Esports.

Notably, the character “bro Na” stands out. This is the affectionate nickname Tinikun uses for Coach Yuna, and given their close relationship, it’s not unlikely that Tinikun is determined to bring this coach to Divine to handle training duties together.
Previously, Tinikun also posted a status discussing the situation of teams that have been promoted to VCS from the VCSB tournament. This was perhaps just casual talk about how very few teams that have earned slots in the Promotion Round have achieved success in VCS (Young Generation, Sky Gaming, EVOS Esports).
However, with his tendency to speak in “hints,” the status from the former GAM coach still leaves many gamers curious, leading to speculation that he is hinting that Divine Esports might seek a ticket to VCS via the route taken by teams like YG, SGD, or EVS, which is to participate in the Promotion Round to earn a spot for the VCS Spring 2022, rather than buying a slot like many other teams typically do.

Although this approach seems a bit “slow,” it will allow a newly established team time to arrange personnel, define the lineup, and gain experience in a less pressured tournament before aiming for VCS. This is also why teams like YG and EVOS—composed of many players who have previously competed in VCS—have been more successful than teams that participate in the tournament by purchasing slots.
Yuna and Tinikun had a quite close relationship even before they both joined GAM Esports. In the yellow-black colors, this coaching duo also garnered many notable achievements. With the statement to only recruit top stars, it’s understandable that Divine Esports is looking for a coach of Yuna’s caliber to lead this team, and he seems to be the perfect fit, as his expertise has been validated, and he has a strong connection with Tinikun in coaching work.
