Skins in popular MOBA titles like DOTA 2 or League of Legends are typically designed to be just for aesthetics, allowing players to showcase themselves as skilled gamers. Unlike some other games where skins might provide attribute buffs, skins in MOBA games have no (or shouldn’t have) any effect at all.

However, recently on Reddit, a user named “mja082” discovered a bug related to the K/DA ALL OUT skin of the champion Akali. It’s worth noting that before this bug was found, Akali had already received a number of buffs from Riot, including basic armor, cooldown reduction, movement speed, and ability range.

Specifically, this user reported that when Akali wears the K/DA ALL OUT skin and uses her W – Smoke Bomb, she remains invisible for the duration of the Smoke Bomb’s effect when she recalls. User “mja082” also tested it with the default skin and confirmed that Akali remains visible when recalling, even within the Smoke Bomb’s area.

As a result, when “mja082” reported this, many players expressed concern that others might exploit this bug to “pay to win.” “I tested it with a friend, and he said I was completely invisible when recalling in the Smoke Bomb” – said “mja082”.
