On the afternoon of February 24 (Vietnam time), the clash between Weibo Gaming and LNG Esports will take place. This is not only a contest between two teams considered to have one of the strongest and most balanced lineups in LPL Spring 2022, but also a battle to find out which team deserves to be ranked first in the current leaderboard. This could be the matchup that determines the fate of both teams in what is seen as the “Super Classic” of LPL Spring 2022.

TheShy – Ale
TheShy will have the opportunity to face off against the young player who is seen as his potential successor in the future. Compared to Bin, Ale resembles a “Top God” more in terms of champion pool diversity. Additionally, in both the previous and current LNG lineup, although Ale is not the main shot-caller and has a relatively low profile, he is one of the decisive factors for the success or failure of “Suzhou Unicorns”.
As for TheShy, the “Top God” is currently regaining the form that helped him lead Invictus Gaming to the top. However, no one knows if WBG has fully unlocked TheShy or how high his potential can reach. Facing someone considered to be his successor, the outcome of the top lane matchup could very well turn the tide of the game.

Angel – Doinb
Angel is currently enjoying a stellar phase, especially when facing the reigning World Champion 2021 – EDG, Angel did not allow his opponents to score even a single kill from him. It can be said that right now, the “Angel” is soaring high along with WBG’s excellent performance. And it is precisely because of Angel’s great gameplay that WBG’s style is running smoothly.
But facing Angel in the clash on February 24 is Doinb – a mid-laner considered to be one of the most “unorthodox” players in League of Legends. Doinb’s matchups are very hard to predict, and he is willing to experiment with “unique” playstyles even in crucial matches. On one side is youth, and on the other is seasoned experience and unpredictable flair. Whether Angel will shine again or Doinb will “carry the team” is likely to be the question that leads to the result of this “Super Classic” LPL Spring 2022 matchup.

SofM – Tarzan
This is a matchup that can be seen as the “Zhuge Liang – Zhou Yu” of LPL Spring 2022. SofM possesses an “unorthodox” playstyle, a vast champion pool, and is the shot-caller during the early and mid-game for WBG. WBG’s gameplay can run smoothly largely thanks to SofM’s mobility. Notably, even when covering all lanes, the “Vietnamese Jungle God” still ensures his farm stats are always on par or even higher than his opponents.
As for Tarzan, in LNG, he is the ruler of the jungle but not the “general” as that title belongs to Doinb. While SofM has many unpredictable factors, Tarzan possesses a stable and disciplined playstyle brought over from the LCK, and he also has a rich champion pool along with numerous times of “carrying the team” for LNG.

If we have to find a jungler capable of competing with SofM at this moment, in all of LPL, there are probably only two names: Karsa and Tarzan. However, Karsa’s Victory Five was defeated by SofM’s WBG, and now another “Jungle God” from the LCK will be the next name to challenge the “Mega Rich”. According to the majority opinion from LPL fans, it is very likely that the result of this matchup will determine the success or failure of the battle for the top of the LPL Spring 2022 leaderboard.
