What’s remarkable is that this is the first time in Southeast Asia’s history that Audition has become an official Esports discipline and has been awarded separate medals at the regional arena. This journey of Audition, from a familiar entertainment game, has affirmed the professionalism of the discipline and opened up significant opportunities to spread Vietnamese culture.
Dancers with the Aspiration for Gold Medals
The Vietnamese Audition team consists of six talented athletes, carefully selected from domestic tournaments. They are the heroes carrying the hopes of the entire community: VN_Elina (Lê Thị Hoài Phương), VN_Demo (Lê Ngọc Trường Giang), VN_Hare (Roãn Công Thành), VN_Linhh (Tô Ý Linh), VN_Giyu (Nguyễn Văn Huy), and VN_NguyenNgoc (Nguyễn Hồng Ngọc).
At SEA Games 33, the team will compete in three main categories: men’s singles, women’s singles, and mixed team events. The direct competitors this time come from Thailand, the Philippines, and Laos.
Relentless Training Efforts
Immediately after the launch ceremony, the athletes switched to professional training mode in Hanoi. Despite a rigorous daily training schedule, the atmosphere and spirit of the players remain lively. Even with “soaked sweat and tired hands,” smiles and the spirit of Audition are always bright on their faces.
The training process is structured and scientific, focusing on individual skill development, team coordination, and particularly analyzing opponents’ gameplay. Training sessions last several hours, combining real jumping practice and video reviews to improve strategies.

To best prepare for SEA Games 33 taking place in Bangkok, the team had an exciting international friendly match with the Thai Audition team on November 30, achieving promising results. This significant progress has strengthened the confidence of the entire team before the tournament.

Spreading Vietnamese Culture Through Digital Dance
The Vietnamese Audition team competes not only for medals but also carries the mission of promoting national identity. The official competition uniforms at SEA Games 33 are specially designed: the men’s outfits draw inspiration from traditional Vietnamese attire, while the women’s outfits are stylized from the ao yem and four-part dress, featuring pink and green tones symbolizing the Vietnamese lotus flower.

Mr. Nguyễn Danh Hoàng Việt – Director of the Department of Physical Education and Sports – emphasized: each Audition athlete will be a “cultural ambassador,” contributing to spreading the image of the Vietnamese people and culture to the region and the world.

In the long term, VTC commits to continuously upgrading Audition with more content, music, and fashion that embodies Vietnamese culture, transforming this game into an effective cultural bridge and a high-achieving discipline bringing international medals to Vietnam.
Audition matches will take place on December 12 in Bangkok (Thailand). Let’s follow and cheer for the six Vietnamese Audition athletes at SEA Games 33 through the links below.
