After the first week of the VCS Summer 2020, we witnessed once again the “Pelu aura” from commentator Hoàng Luân. Before the tournament, he said, “just trust the left side,” and as everyone knows, all the teams he deemed trustworthy on the left side ended up losing badly, including the reigning champions of Vietnam – Team Flash and the “White Tigers” EVOS with the addition of EVOS.

Perhaps due to the “faith” in Hoàng Luân’s predictions being too significant, to ensure the excitement for week 2 of the VCS, the production team of the show “What to Choose This” – a program modeled after Riot’s “This or That” – did not include any prediction questions in this week’s segment. However, that did not prevent “Pelu’s bets” and last night, Hoàng Luân caused the Vietnamese LoL community to tremble with just one status update.

The majority of comments from VCS viewers expressed condolences for Team Flash as they were trusted by Hoàng Luân to overcome Saigon Buffalo. Even player Bigkoro seemed disheartened by the “fate” when his Percent Esports team was highly rated by “Pelu” and expected to win against SGB. Besides players and fans, neutral viewers were also extremely dissatisfied with this “unfairness” from the VCS.

Whether Hoàng Luân’s predictions are right or wrong, it cannot be denied that the matches in week 2 of the VCS are incredibly exciting and worth watching. The two rookie teams, Percent Esports and Overpower Gaming, will be truly tested when they face GAM Esports, a team with a wealth of experience. Meanwhile, Cerberus will need a victory against EVOS Esports to demonstrate their strength and championship ambitions.

Hopefully, Hoàng Luân’s “Pelu aura” will not be too powerful this week, as the matches are extremely unpredictable and exciting.
