On the evening of October 5th, Riot Games officially released images of the skin lines that will appear with the upcoming patch 11.22. The most feedback has been received for the Victorious Blitzcrank skin. However, the majority of opinions are overwhelmingly negative.
The design of the Victorious Blitzcrank skin primarily features blue and gold colors. The silver-white head evokes the color scheme of the previous Lightbringer skin design. The energy block on the chest has been transformed into a diamond shape with a golden solar energy glow. However, that’s all that’s noteworthy to describe about Victorious Blitzcrank. Beyond those features, the Victorious skin is overall no different from standard Blitzcrank.

This is truly a somewhat “groundbreaking” move by Riot, especially when the League of Legends community is expecting higher quality Victorious skins. Notably, players could not have imagined that the teaser image that led many to associate it with Victorious Annie, which Riot posted that same afternoon, was just a simple zoom-in of a very small detail in the splash art of Victorious Blitzcrank.

Not only is there disappointment from the community feeling “led astray” by Riot, but they are also disappointed that the Victorious Blitzcrank skin lacks anything special or worthy of the name “Victorious” it carries. Reflecting on other Victorious skins like Victorious Janna or Victorious Elise, or comparing to League of Legends: Wild Rift, many cannot help but feel pity when Victorious Tryndamere or Victorious Jinx were designed with much more quality.

However, some players have suggested ideas for improving the Victorious skin or expressed disappointment but are willing to accept this skin simply because it is… free.

It can be seen that the community’s response to Victorious Blitzcrank is quite negative, and Riot’s “teaser” has only intensified the disappointment, even though Blitzcrank is a Support champion rated to have a decent damage combo and crowd control, but fundamentally, the Steam Golem has mostly been used in ranked matches and is nearly absent from the professional scene up to now. Moreover, Riot’s lack of investment in the Victorious skins for League of Legends frustrates players when receiving a skin that is not free, as they have put in so much effort to play, but the value is completely below expectations.
