Unlike the one-sided and somewhat dull match in the VCS Summer Finals 2019, GAM Esports and Team Flash delivered an explosive showdown in the final battle of the VCS Spring 2020.
GAM Esports, regarded as the stronger team, approached the game with complete initiative, especially in the early stages of game 1. However, several overconfident plays from GAM’s key positions unexpectedly shifted the advantage to Flash, as they executed a clean sweep of their opponents despite being at a resource disadvantage.

A rather disappointing outcome for GAM as they lost game 1, though they quickly equalized in game 2. However, once again, GAM Esports allowed their opponents to take the lead in game 3, after an outstanding performance by jungler Yijin with the champion Rek’Sai.
The climax reached new heights in game 4, as GAM, with nothing left to lose, had to send Zeros into the fray. However, the star of this match was Dia1, as the Rumble in the hands of GAM’s mid-laner shone brightly to keep GAM’s hopes alive.

From the position of a favored team, GAM Esports found themselves significantly mentally pressured by their opponents in the final game. In fact, in the past two seasons, no team had managed to push GAM Esports to a final match in a Bo5.
In contrast, with the momentum from having secured two wins, the stars of Flash played incredibly smoothly, especially the duo of Slayder and CBL. Despite being continuously pressured in the bot lane, Flash’s ADC-support duo maintained a solid lane state and steadily increased their power, particularly Slayder, who had extremely effective participation in team fights throughout all five games.

And finally, a true earthquake occurred as Team Flash achieved a spectacular victory by defeating GAM Esports in the fifth game – the decisive match, officially becoming the new champions of VCS Spring 2020.
Moreover, Slayder and his teammates will represent the VCS region in the MSI 2020 tournament, their first international tournament since unfortunately missing out on a spot in the 2019 World Championship. A well-deserved championship for the Team Flash players.
