Team Secret’s “Emotional Teasing” of VCS Fans
Expected to be a tumultuous year in 2025, the VCS community has essentially prepared for potential “goodbyes” from various teams. After all, it’s understood that some teams will not have the opportunity to participate in the LCP unless they invest significantly more to attract talent.
Therefore, when the LCP emerged and the VCS was merged, it was only natural for teams that couldn’t handle the pressure to exit the scene.
However, because many were already mentally prepared, a number of fans felt like they were being “emotionally teased” by Team Secret’s content creation. Specifically, before the transfer window officially opened, rumors surfaced that the name “Team Secret” would no longer exist. This very team did not bother to clarify or confirm, leading fans to believe that TS would disband.
In fact, TS even changed their profile and cover photos to black with the suggestive phrase “The End.” They did not make any statements after that, leaving fans extremely confused. Many fans expressed their sorrow for one of the most talented teams in the VCS.
Yet, in a surprising twist, it turned out that TS and Team Whales simply teamed up to form Secret Whales, which will participate in LCP 2025. No team disbanded; it was just two names merging into one.
VCS Fans Express Their Frustration
For some lenient fans, as long as their beloved team or, more accurately, their players are competing in the next season, they are content. However, many others feel that TS’s content creation was a bit over the top. Right below the post, numerous comments expressed frustration over having their emotions exploited for attention.
As for TS, they have not released any further announcements following the incident.
