Just a few hours ago, the Vietnamese League of Legends (LoL) community was buzzing when the official social media page of Fredit BRION announced that Đặng “TLong” Thành Long will officially debut at the LCK Challengers tournament.
For those who may not know, this is the second-tier tournament of the South Korean LoL scene. Players who perform impressively, according to experts, may have a chance to be promoted to the first team competing in the LCK.

This is truly great news for the VCS community in general and for the player TLong in particular. TLong is the first Vietnamese player to have the opportunity to compete in a high-level LoL tournament in South Korea. Moreover, this region is known for its reluctance to accept foreign players. Very few foreign players have ventured into the South Korean LoL scene, and almost none have achieved success there.
Following the news that TLong has the opportunity to officially debut in the LCK CL tournament, excitement surged within the VCS, from experts to fans. Numerous well-wishes have been sent to the young player. It can be said that TLong’s journey can only be seen as beginning now that he has the chance to compete in this tournament. According to information from BRO, TLong will debut in the match against Liiv SANDBOX Challengers on the evening of July 4th (Vietnam time).

Not long ago, the Vietnamese LoL community was abuzz when news broke that TLong was officially selected by BRO for their lineup in the LCK CL. This is a significant step forward, even though not many people have heard of TLong. However, according to several coaches who have worked with him, he is a very promising player. Coach Ren even revealed that TLong was almost chosen for the Saigon Buffalo lineup instead of player Froggy.

It is unclear whether TLong will debut in his familiar Mid Lane position or if he will have to swap roles as is customary for some teams in the LCK CL. But one thing is certain, he will receive the warmest support from fans back home.
