Clash in ranks, Tian conflicts with Gumayusi
It is entirely normal for players to clash in ranked games, especially in Korean ranks – the hub where the world’s professional League of Legends players gather to hone their skills. However, this also means that conflicts between these players after a few ranked matches are not uncommon. The recent case involving Tian and Gumayusi is causing controversy due to the off-the-rift matters rather than the match results.

Specifically, while playing ranked with Tian, Gumayusi’s team also included DuDu, another familiar LCK player, and the opposing team featured Smash. However, both Tian and DuDu had a match that can be described as lacking in every aspect. In fact, Gumayusi almost completely dominated the laning phase, but he could not withstand the “feeding” from the duo of DuDu and Tian.

However, when Gumayusi merely intended to remind Tian not to play ranked so “casually”, the Weibo Gaming player responded with a rather “shade-throwing” comment. He repeatedly pointed out: “That game was too sensitive. He (Gumayusi) can blame me all he wants. Go ahead and curse, mainly because that game was too sensitive, I also feel guilty towards him.”

The League of Legends community debates the Tian – Gumayusi incident
Clearly, based on the translations shared by LPL viewers, Gumayusi did not mean to criticize Tian at all. However, the response from the LPL player later implied sarcasm towards Gumayusi and referenced the T1 – Gumayusi – Smash drama. Of course, Tian may also be feeling “sour” because Gumayusi “reminded” him live in front of the audience.

But clearly, in this case, if it were other players, the community might have fully stood by the “victim” of the “uncontrollable feeding” from the two professional players. The only issue is that this time the “plaintiff” is Gumayusi, and that is why the debate has exploded. Especially when the “game wreckers” are not to be trifled with, and the opponent on the other side is Smash.
