Faker’s “Godly” Plays Keep T1’s Hopes Alive
Faker’s opponent this time is Knight, a player who can be considered among the top Mid Laners in the world today. Faker himself is getting older, and many are concerned he won’t be able to carry T1. But everyone was mistaken, as this is arguably the match where Faker made the strongest comeback, showing the audience the image of the “Immortal Demon King” from years past who dominated the world with SKT T1. In fact, the champions Faker used in this match, except for Yone, are all considered “old generation” champions like Sylas and Galio.

Notably, in a tough situation for T1 in game 4, it was none other than Faker who had 2 “godly” plays, completely reversing the game. First, it was the moment Faker solo killed Elk in the Top Lane, establishing complete control of the Void Rift for T1.

Afterwards, there was the moment Faker stole the ultimate from Rakan and jumped in to control the carries of BLG, opening up a decisive teamfight that allowed T1 to seize every advantage. It can be said that with just these 2 moments, Faker made even his anti-fans admire his incredible talent.

A Well-Deserved Reward for Faker
With such outstanding performances, Faker rightfully earned the FMVP in the finals. Additionally, Faker is the first player in history to win FMVP in two Worlds tournaments. The first time was when he successfully defended his Worlds title for the first time (in 2016).

It can be said that in the most crucial moment, T1 fans and the team members looked towards the Mid Lane, where they had the “Immortal Demon King” still ready to deliver the most classic plays in LoL history.
