Recently, the clash between T1 and BLG at the 2024 League of Legends World Championship was spectacular and received tremendous support from millions of gamers worldwide. One of the impressive records that T1 has just broken is the highest concurrent viewership for a single match in esports history. Specifically, the final game of the Bo5 series between T1 and BLG reached a peak of 6.94 million viewers. Previously, T1 also set the world record with over 6.4 million concurrent viewers during their match against WBG in the Grand Finals of the 2023 League of Legends World Championship.

Now, the victory over BLG has helped T1 break their own record, pushing the boundaries of esports events in history and even into the distant future.

VCS Also Contributes to T1’s Record Victory

Notably, T1’s record was also significantly supported by VCS fans. Specifically, the Vietnamese language reached a peak of 1.1 million viewers during the thrilling Bo5 series. This marks Vietnamese as the third Southeast Asian language to surpass the 1 million concurrent viewers milestone, following Indonesian and Tagalog, and the tenth language globally to achieve this.

It can be affirmed that T1’s record achievement and the response from Vietnamese fans once again demonstrate the popularity of League of Legends in particular and esports in general.
