In just a few days, while the global League of Legends community is gearing up for MSI 2022 with thrilling promises as it gathers most of the champions from previous MSI events, VCS is stirring things up in a different way. Not because VCS has the opportunity to return to MSI after several years of absence. Nor is it due to the upcoming SEA Games 31. It’s because of the drama between DNS Gaming – a team from VCS B and the VCS organizing committee.

After the VCS organizers announced penalties for DNS, the representatives of this team fiercely countered and stated their willingness to confront the VCS. Recently, on the afternoon of May 5th, the VCS organizers issued an official announcement regarding the penalties for DNS. In summary, this team violated three rules including: “Accounts used for competitions were played by multiple people (in ranked mode)”, “There are signs of unusual use of new champions and failure to provide verification evidence when requested”, and lastly, “The registered competition account is not owned by the player.”

Immediately after the VCS organizers made their official announcement about the penalties for DNS, the Vietnamese League of Legends community was once again abuzz. Across various forums, most acknowledged that this announcement from the VCS organizers was clearer and more specific. Additionally, many opinions suggested that if DNS truly has evidence to prove their complete innocence and adherence to the rules, they should present it to the VCS. Because right in the VCS’s announcement, it was clearly stated that they were ready to provide evidence to DNS for confrontation if the representatives of this team came to the Vietnam Esports office.

In the latest development, DNS has continued to post a rebuttal against the VCS’s announcement. However, at this point, the Vietnamese League of Legends community has become more cautious. But it is very likely that the drama will not end here, and in the coming days, there could be new developments. One can only say that this will be one of the most prominent dramas in the Vietnamese League of Legends scene for the 2022 season.
