A few days ago, Riot Games released the Ultimate Weapons 2020 skin line featuring four characters: Ekko, Fiora, Lucian, and Pantheon. The skin of the Warlock even hinted at its existence in a previous development video. Unfortunately, Senna does not have a couple’s skin with Lucian, but still, the skins this time appear to be much better than Thresh’s “chicken head” skin from 2019.

However, if it were simply about releasing new skins, that wouldn’t be a big deal. The Ultimate Weapons 2020 event is much more complex than that. As of now, we can learn about the story of the Lucian and Pantheon Ultimate Weapons skins on the PBE server, and coincidentally, both are related to a Steel Sentinel universe with Fiddlesticks and Graves’ skins.

Both skins mentioned above have descriptions related to the Steel Sentinel legion’s attacks on worlds through spatial portals. Notably, in the skin lines of League of Legends, those belonging to the Ultimate Weapons line often open spatial portals and traverse between universes, and the trouble arises from this incredibly dangerous action.
The first of this skin line is none other than Ultimate Weapons Ezreal, whose voice lines interact with most existing skins in League of Legends. This indicates that Ezreal has traveled through countless universes, opening up countless spatial portals to satisfy his exploratory nature. The consequence of this is that the Steel Sentinel legion has exploited it to invade other worlds and cause massacres such as in Pantheon’s universe.
Given the significant connections, we need to take a closer look at the background of the Ultimate Weapons Ezreal skin.

In the upper left corner, we can easily recognize that it is Ultimate Weapons Caitlyn, the sheriff who is hunting down and capturing Ezreal for causing too much disruption in space/time. That’s not all; we see many other spatial portals also opened next to the portal of Ezreal and Caitlyn, however, on the right side, there is only one shadow escaping from the portal.

Based on this pursuing shadow, it is very likely that this is Lucian, who might also be hunting down Ezreal. However, the time enforcement officers’ capture seems unlikely to succeed as Ezreal’s flying device is opening up multiple alerts about other universes. Remember that Ezreal’s rework appeared back in August 2018, and Riot may have planned many Ultimate Weapons skins and embedded them in already released skins.

Another interesting point in the Ultimate Weapons 2020 skin line is that Lucian and Thresh are no longer enemies as in the original universe. Instead, both are members of the Remnants Guild, a group within the time enforcement agency, with Thresh even serving as the leader of this group. In Thresh’s description, it is mentioned that the number of rebels against the agency is increasing, forcing him to take action, and those rebels are none other than Ekko and Fiora Ultimate Weapons.

Indeed, products such as skins, short stories, and cinematic videos from Riot Games are becoming increasingly interesting and inspire players to explore. It’s unfortunate that the in-game issues of League of Legends don’t shine as brightly as this.
