Volibear Unstoppable Power
While other players are trying various runes with Volibear like Aftershock, Conqueror, Predator… SofM has quickly recognized the power of the Unstoppable Power rune for this bear god. It’s no coincidence that when not jungling, Volibear is the choice SofM makes to climb the top lane in Korean ranked matches.

Volibear has indeed gained more damage after the rework, but his healing has been significantly reduced with the complete overhaul of his passive. Thus, supplementing the healing ability and accumulating health from the Unstoppable Power rune is extremely important for Volibear. Moreover, with effects like stun from Q – Thundering Charge or slow from E – Call of the Storm, this bear can easily activate his ultimate rune multiple times during a trade.

Ekko All-Purpose Stone
Returning to the familiar jungle of SofM, the prodigy of League of Legends in Vietnam understands that he can’t always play Graves or Lee Sin, so he has trained a new favorite champion named Ekko All-Purpose Stone. This champion is also classified as an “all-purpose” champion in League of Legends, possessing sufficient damage, crowd control, mobility, and healing… therefore, it is perfectly reasonable for him to use All-Purpose Stone to enhance these aspects.

Furthermore, All-Purpose Stone provides Ekko with immense burst potential in matches. Sometimes, opponents can be eliminated rapidly when you have Electrocute, cannot be quickly killed when you roll out Aftershock, and find it hard to escape when you have Glacial Augment. In summary, the All-Purpose Stone rune will make it much easier for Ekko from the farming phase to when the team fights break out.

Syndra Top Lane
It sounds ridiculous, but in the current Korean Challenger ranks, many players are using Syndra in the top lane, causing a lot of frustration for opponents. Trends like Vayne top and Fiddlesticks tank top have shown how devastating the lane dominance can be, thus Syndra top was born with a similar purpose: to dominate the lane and counter melee champions.

With a long attack range, having both stun and slow from a great distance, it’s not an exaggeration to say that in 1v1 duels in the top lane, very few champions can “touch the hem of Syndra’s skirt.” If you make just a few careless movements and lose some health, the risk of being eliminated is very high because after all, Syndra is still a high-damage mage. Dominating the lane and punishing opponents’ mistakes is extremely easy, Syndra top lane is currently one of the most annoying choices.
