As two of the members who built the SKT empire in League of Legends, the farewell of Bang – Wolf once left fans feeling deeply regretful. Both left SKT to pursue their careers with other teams but have yet to achieve any notable success.

Recently, on T1’s official Facebook page, a post was made about the official retirement ceremony for the legendary bot lane duo that once instilled fear – marksman “Bang” and support “Wolf.” This will also be a tribute ceremony for everything this duo contributed to the team throughout their intense playing career.
Back in late 2014, when two young players Bae “Bang” Jun-sik and “Wolf” Jae-wan joined SKT T1 at just 17 years old. Perhaps due to their similar age, they quickly developed synergy right from the early seasons they played for SKT. The LCK spring and summer championships were just stepping stones to their consecutive World Championship titles in 2015 and 2016. It can be said that superstar marksman “Bang” and support “Wolf” are the most synergistic bot lane duo in the history of SKT T1.

From 2017 onwards marked a dark period for T1. Their performance gradually deteriorated, evidenced by their second-place finishes in the Rift Rivals, LCK summer, and the World Championship in the latter half of 2017. The moment Faker shed tears after a crushing 0-3 defeat to Samsung Galaxy marked the end of the SKT T1 empire that had dominated the World Championship for three consecutive years.
After nearly another year playing under T1’s banner, the duo Bang and Wolf officially said goodbye to the team at the end of 2018 to seek new opportunities. At that time, this was devastating news for fans who had witnessed the peak performance of SKT in 2015 and 2016. Both moved abroad to North America and Turkey, but neither has achieved the success fans had hoped for.

The ceremony will take place at 20:30 on January 10th. Everyone can follow it on T1’s Twitch platform (t1esports).
